On October 18, 2018 Royal Oak celebrated its 45th Anniversary with a two-part benefit at the Metropolitan Club in New York: our 18th Timeless Design Dinner followed by our 3rd annual Follies cocktail party. The evening was a festive occasion for friends to reunite and show their support of our mission. The annual benefit enables our Foundation to grow our efforts to advance the work of the National Trust.

Our 18th Timeless Design Dinner featured a program sponsored by Rizzoli and timed with its publication of The Country House: Past, Present, Future – an exciting new book featuring beautiful photography of many National Trust properties.

The program welcomed the book’s coeditors Sir David Cannadine and Jeremy Musson and special guests Robert Sackville-West, 7th Baron Sackville, in conversation with BBC World News America anchor and correspondent, Laura Trevelyan.

American designer Sarah Magness lent her talents to our dinner tables with a décor that evoked the spirit of Royal Oak and the National Trust.

Follies Cocktail Party

Our 3rd Annual Follies cocktail party was a festive occasion also celebrating Royal Oak’s 45th Anniversary.

Follies supports Royal Oak and its work to raise funds for our 2018 appeal.

In 2018, our appeal wassupporting the restoration of follies and monuments at magnificent Stowe landscape gardens in Buckinghamshire, England.
